After Installing

The device software launches automatically when installation finishes. Next, connect the app to the device and add cameras.

1. Open Litmus and sign in. On the same network, create a local account on the local screen (see Opening the Local Screen). To watch from anywhere as well, connect your Litmus account from the local screen (see Turning On Remote Access from the Local Screen), or sign in at app.litmusnvr.com or in the Litmus app and add the device (see Adding the Device at app.litmusnvr.com).
2. With remote access, click Connect device on the Connect your device screen and add the device you installed. Devices on the same network are found automatically. Once the device connects, a place is created and opens. The local screen skips this step. For details, see Connecting the Device.
3. When the Get started with Litmus NVR window opens, work through its steps in order. You choose recognition features, add cameras, and start the device, all in one window. See Follow the Setup Guide. If you closed the window, follow the steps below instead.
4. Add a camera. For details, see Adding a Camera.
5. Click Start in the notice at the top of the Live tab, or in Settings > Status. A new device starts out Stopped. Nothing is recorded or detected until you start it.

Setup is complete when the status changes to Running. One camera is enough to start recording and searching.
