Finding Your Way Around
Litmus has four tabs. When face recognition or vehicle recognition is on, a Registry tab also appears. The tabs run down the left side on a desktop and along the bottom of the screen on a phone.

| Live | Watch live video from every camera. |
| History | Review saved footage and find people and vehicles. |
| Actions | Set up actions, such as a phone notification or a sound, to run when a person, face, or vehicle is detected. |
| Settings | Start and stop the device, and change settings for the whole place, such as cameras, face recognition, and vehicle recognition. |
| Registry | Register and manage the faces and vehicles Litmus should recognize. |
Some tabs have more than one screen: Cards and Timeline on the History tab, and Faces and Vehicles on the Registry tab. On a desktop, switch screens with the buttons at the right end of the title row; on a phone, choose one from the list at the top right.
The place name and connection status are always shown: at the top left on a desktop, and at the top of the screen on a phone. For what each status means, see Checking the Connection Status.
